Q: How do I find out about Member events?

From the website's home page click on Membership listed under the Support tab; then click on Member Events 2017. Details of Member Events are also listed in Clippings, our quarterly Newsletter and on member event postcards mailed periodically throughout the year.

Q: What is my Member Number?

Find my Member Number.
Use the link above to find your current Member Number. Please note, each time a membership card is printed, whether you are renewing or requesting a replacement membership card, the system will assign you a new number. You will enter that number in the Member Validation box to receive member discounts online and to renew your membership.

Q: How do I obtain my membership card(s) and guest pass(es)?

When you join or renew online or over the phone, you will receive an immediate confirmation of your purchase. You will receive a second email with an attachment instructing you to ask our Admissions staff to print your card(s) and guest pass (es) on your next visit to the Atlanta or Gainesville location. Obtaining your membership card at the Garden helps to save valuable resources. When you join or renew by mail, OR if you are at the Supporting or above level of membership, we will automatically mail your membership card(s) and guest pass (es) to you within two weeks of processing your payment.

Q: I have lost my membership card; what should I do?

On your next visit, simply present your photo ID at Admissions at either our Atlanta or Gainesville location and ask the staff to print a new card(s) for you.

Q: Do you have a discounted Membership level for seniors, teachers, students and military?

We do not offer a senior, teacher, student or military discount on Garden Memberships.

Q: Must a Dual Membership or above have two names listed?

No, a second name is not required for Dual level Memberships or higher. If the Membership account lists one name, you will receive one card but, you may bring a guest with you each time you visit during regular operating hours. If two names are listed on the membership, you will receive two cards listing both names. Each of the named members may bring a different guest, if the other named member is not visiting on that day.
If both named Members are planning to visit with guests on the same day, they must provide guest passes for their guest. For ease of entry, please ask your guest to complete the name and address portion of the guest pass before approaching the Admissions booth.

Q: At what age are children/grandchildren included on a Membership

Memberships at the Family level and above include free admission for children/grandchildren ages 3-17. Children/grandchildren ages 2 and under may visit the Garden for free.

Q: Does a Family membership include my college-age children?

No. Free admission on the Family membership includes two adults and children/grandchildren ages 3-17. You would need to use a guest pass for your college-age children, including those who live at home and are away at school. Please call 404-591-1539 if you need advice on the membership plan that best suits your family needs.

Q: At what age can my chlidren or grandchildren visit the Garden unaccompanied by an adult?

At the Family level and above, children/grandchildren must be 16 to enter the Garden unaccompanied by an adult. If the child has a guest, they must use a guest pass to cover the guest’s admission.

Q: What is the benefit of purchasing a Family Plus Membership?

The Family Plus Membership allows a caregiver (Nanny /Babysitter/Grandma/Grandpa, etc.) to use the membership to bring the Member’s children/ grandchildren to the Garden in place of the adult(s) named on the Membership. It is not necessary to list the caregiver’s name on your Membership account. Simply give your card to your caregiver for the day. If your caregiver wants to bring an additional adult, please give them one of your guest passes to cover entrance for the second adult. Please note: Caregivers are not allowed to visit the Garden without the member's children, unless you include them as the secondary name on your membership.

Q: I purchased a Family Plus Membership but my complimentary Botanical Express ride-on-train tickets were not in my Membership packet. When will I receive them?

The Botanical Express ride-on-train tickets are mailed separately, usually in late October or early November of each year. You will receive them before the train’s first date of operation for the holiday season, along with a listing of the dates and times the train will be operating.

Q: Does the member need to be present when using guest passes?

No, guests may come on their own using member guest passes. They must complete the name and address portion of the pass before it will be accepted.

Guest passes may be used during regular operating hours. Regular operating hours include Cocktails in the Garden and Fest-of-Ale (Atlanta) and Wine in the Woodlands (Gainesville). We will specify on our listing of Member Events whether guest passes are accepted for specific events. Please refer to Visitor Info for a listing of our seasonal hours.

Q: May I use my guest passes at a Member Preview?

No, because a Member Preview is an exclusive member event, we do not accept guest passes. Non-members are welcome to purchase a membership for entry to Member Previews.

Q: Do you offer free parking?

No, please refer to Visitor Info for parking rates.

Q: Do you offer discounted parking?

Yes, multi-visit parking passes are a great way to visit the Garden often and to receive a discount on regular parking rates (as low as $3.33 per visit with no time limit). Please visit the Garden Gift Shop to purchase and reload multi-visit parking passes. New passes are valid on the same day of purchase with 1 trip deducted upon exiting. However, existing parking passes must be re-loaded before the card reaches 0 uses; parking pass holders who enter the garage with 0 trips on their card will be required to pay for parking on that day, with the re-loaded card being valid on their next visit. Please note that the screen on the entrance machine will tell you your balance upon swiping your card. The uses do not expire and members receive bonus visits. Multi-visit parking passes are not available for purchase online. Please note, a multi-visit parking pass does not guarantee you a parking space. Occasionally during popular events, the parking deck may close for short periods of time until spaces open. When that occurs, please seek legal off-street parking near the Garden.
