Drop-Off Kids Classes
To register, call the class registration line at 404-876-5859 ext. 2556, email registrar@atlantabotanicalgarden.org to receive a registration form or click the "Register Online" button at the end of the class description.

Drop-In Kids and Drop-In Family Classes
Registration is not required.

 

The Garden offers as great variety of fun and educational programs for children.

Events and classes for children include outdoor Garden adventures, cooking lessons in the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen, classroom activities such as natural crafts and more. The Children's Garden Amphitheater is also host to unique performers and storytellers throughout the year.

Saving the environment is serious business, but Andy Offutt Irwin brings the issue closer to home with his musical comic flair. Get ready to learn about recycling, the food chain, and pollution while meeting some of Andy’s funny friends. More Information

Endangered Species Day

Saturday, June 2
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The national Endangered Species Day began in 2006 to increase public understanding of recovery efforts for endangered plants and animals. Visit the Garden for a day celebrating rare plants and animals.

Turtle Tales

Saturday, June 9
2 - 3 p.m.

Get up close and personal with several turtles, hear their fascinating stories and create turtle-inspired art. More Information

Summer Camp

June - July  |  Ages 4 - 10

Enroll your child in a stimulating summer day camp full of discovery, adventure and nature exploration!

This summer, the Garden offers two programs for each age group; one focused on sensory explorations in the Garden and the other focused on cooking in the Garden. We hope that your child can join us for amazing adventures this summer.

11 a.m. - noon

Learn about the birds that live at the Garden and try your hand at three different avian art projects. Create something spectacular from everyday objects, and come away knowing more about our feathered friends. More Information

A Honeybee's Life

Saturday, August 11
11 a.m. - noon

Buzz into the world of these amazing creatures and learn about life in the hive. Understand the importance of bees as pollinators and producers of honey and wax. Dress up like a bee and create your own beeswax candle. More Information

Storybook Time

Wednesdays, April - October
10:30 - 11 a.m.

Listen to stories about bees, butterflies, frogs and flowers. Meet in the Children's Garden Amphitheater weather permitting or in the Turner Broadcasting Garden Theater during inclement weather. Storybook Time is for children accompanied by an adult.
